SO MUCH!

I HAVE SO MUCH TO TELL YOU!

As of right now, I am still sick... lets see can you say week 3? annoyed.

Anyways, I am working on that dreaded CDN but this time I got all my AP's fulfilled, now I am just working on my ESOL portfolio. Last evaluation I got one fulfilled and 1 bridging! LETS PRAY I GET THE REST DONE THIS NEXT TIME! They are due on the 15th! Talk about stress! Well I shall post pictures in a little while! As for now off to CDN world!

Look what one of my kids made me Friday... well actually got taken away because I wanted it and he made it while I was teaching! :) its so creative and CUTE <3

So today.... I hosted a Fashion show in my room! I called it "Miss Franco's Seasonal Fashion Show!" The students walk down a red carpet and everything! I downloaded real runway music!!! When they are done, they have to tell me what type of outfit they are sporting for which season and explain how that season occurs (based on the Earth's tilt). THEY LOVED IT!

Anyways! tomorrow my kiddies take Florida writes! I know they are going to ROCK IT!!! SO PROUD OF ALL THEIR HARD WORK TO GET UP TO THIS DAY!!!

Today was a rough day besides the fashion show! They were very chit chatty today! not to mention I just got back from ZUMBA!!!
I am exhausted! I shall post those pictures later!

So guys... I have caught it! I caught the crud except with my crud I have a 102 fever and a BURNING sore throat :(

So today I did not get to teach :( I would not be able to anyways because I have virtually NO VOICE! I am hoping I can feel better soon because I miss my students!

As I am writing this I am laughing a little because I read the post below and see how I said I am cleaning my room... haha I NEVER did that! I am hoping I will have the energy this weekend to tackle it! I have SOO much stuff and not enough room!

END OF A THREE DAY WEEKEND... KILLER

On top of it my throat hurts and my head!

UGH!

But that did not stop me from creating a FUN and ENGAGING Science lesson for next week!

I am teaching full time all week!

My lesson includes a FASHION SHOW!!! I will be sure to post pictures!!!!! The event happens at 12:00 P.M. in my 4th grade classroom on Friday!

So now I must get some rest so I can feel 100% better to teach my kiddos tomorrow!

Today I got to spend my day at St. Pete and learn about the application process and what to expect at an interview.
LOOK WHAT TIME I WAS AWAKE:

A LOT of information in such a short period of time, but VERY valuable! It only made me more excited! I know that it may be a challenge to get a job, especially in today's teaching world, but I am willing to take on that CHALLENGE!


Now, I am cleaning my room and organizing because I HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF! PURGING!!!! :)

ALRIGHT! Today is like my Friday..... well actually it is not but really it is...
Tomorrow I get to go to my college all the way down in St. Pete for a recruitment seminar. We get to learn all the things we need to know to get a job. Like the application process and talk to REAL LIVE principals! It should be fun! I am just looking forward to the car ride there! I am going with my friend and I am excited! We are absolutely ridiculous when we are together! :D It will make us sane before we have to sit in a lecture. So yea, I guess you could say its my FRIDAY! Yippee!
OH AND ITS A 3 DAY WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a good day! I got observed by my university supervisor and he had nothing but good comments for me! ON my evaluation sheet where it says "Areas for Improvement" he wrote NONE!

That made my day. He also told me that he could throw me in any classroom and know that I would do just fine! Needless to say... IT MADE MY DAY! I walked around and couldn't help but smile! :)

So today...
After my observation I went to math planning and planned some math! We are going to be teaching decimals  soon... it shall be a blast! But in the middle of planning my supervisor met with me to go over my observation which I mentioned went well. He talked to me way into lunch so I had to eat lunch when I teach Science and Social Studies... so I was kind of bummed about that but hey! I taught READING! We learned more about Author's Purpose. BUT today I added Explain! It took awhile for the students to catch on but my CT and I made up silly skits to get them excited and to comprehend the concept better. Then came MATH and I got out of that today too because I needed to work on my resume! SO IT WAS A GOOD DAY!

Do you ever have a day where you just wish you could stay at school forever and not go home? That is how I feel some days! I seriously just LOVE being a teacher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight I am taking a break! I am going to a regionals basketball game with my William. It shall be fun because its my old high school boy's basketball team!

TODAY!

Today... Oh today, you were a good day besides the stinky CDN I had to do. I have an evaluation, and it is due tonight by midnight... well lets just say there is only 3 clusters submitted! UGH! I do not like it at all. For all of you who do not know what CDN is, it is pretty much EVIL. It is an on-line portfolio that requires certain assignments to be uploaded and then reflected on (more than that) in HARD, HARD annotations which then get graded. They go through a process... preliminary, emergent, bridging, and then FULFILLED! I want FULFILLED! I only need 5 more! But the scary thing is that you have to have them all FULFILLED so you can graduate! But I got this I know I do!

But anyways enough about CDN and yucky college things lets get to my cute 4th graders...

Today my lovely students had me already exhausted by 10:30.. :) Well really its my fault because I worked until 1:00 am that morning blah! 

I taught writing, we were learning about verb and pronoun agreement... LOVE IT! It was fun! I got to teach it with a rap, and all of the students were bobbing their heads! Then I brought them to specials... but what made me CRAZZY is the fact that they did not just walk to specials (which was art) they RAN! I could of.... needless to say I was beyond frustrated and I said "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?" like 100 times before they stopped and then when they stopped I said it again, so I think they got the point that that I was frustrated. I think I added "ARE YOU SERIOUS?" in there a couple of times to. So the line leader lost his privilege of being the "line leader" and became a student in the middle of the line (because who knew in 4th grade they love being the caboose too?!) So after I lectured them, I told them they will now be picked up at lunch(no recess) and we will practice walking in a straight and quiet line for the 10 min. they are outside.

Then came planning, and I worked on CDN...

Then came lunch and I ate my sandwich which was DELICIOUS! and my yummy heart shaped cookies...

THEN CAME THE TIME TO GO GET MY BEAUTIFUL STUDENTS SO THEY COULD FACE THEIR CONSEQUENCE..... DUM DUM DUM!

They were mad and quiet the entire time... I kind of felt bad but I did not let them know that, but instead of being quiet I had them count by 2's, 3's, 4's... all the way to 12's because they are not good at their multiplication facts STILL!

then came Science and I taught the students about motion... so being the COOL teacher I am we built ROLLER COASTERS!!! YIPPE! Pictures to come soon!

They had so much fun and their rationales of why things worked and did not work were amazing! 

The only problem that I encountered during this activity was, I had to tape myself teaching... and WHO LIKES THAT? YEA NOT ME! but I got a good review by my teacher.....

Then came reading and we learned about Author's purpose... PIE :) (persuade, inform, and entertain) 

They love it! I think I am going to bring in PIE sometime soon! I think that would be FUN!

Then came centers and they were crazy like always... well not really crazy just crazy :)

Then came Math and I worked on my resume with my other teacher I am working with....

PHEW are you exhausted? I am because after school I went to church and taught 12 more perfect children about God's love, but seriously what is better?

I would not trade any of this for the world!

Well its 10:45 PM and I can't do much more damage on CDN for the night so I am outta here!

P.S.- Oh I forgot to mention the 2 behavior issues we had today as well... but hey! All in a days work!
