Words cannot describe how excited, happy, nervous, and did I mention EXCITED I am to be in my classroom and moving things around. It's literally a dream come true.
I know I do not have a lot of followers, but I am not sure if many of you know how long I have wanted to be a teacher. So here's my story!
I have wanted to be a 2nd grade teacher since I was 8 years old. And if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I would say 2nd grade teacher. I NEVER changed my mind. In fact, at one point my room was set up like a classroom. One year for Christmas I asked my mom for a Staples gift card so I could buy some teacher posters and a grade book. Every little girl loves to go shopping with their grandma. She always bought us the greatest clothes and accessories. However, I LOVED shopping with my grandma! She would bring me to a teacher store and let me shop my heart out! I would buy grade books, plan books, bulliten board fun! The best purchase I was ever allowed to make was a computer grading program. I LOVED IT! I could write in my fake students names and grades, and the computer would average them out for me! For a 10 year old that was heaven. So when I say my DREAM has NEVER changed... it hasn't!
Anyways speaking of my DREAM.... I have been preparing for my cute little firsties... right now I have 17... BUT I COULD HAVE 20! Have I mentioned I cannot wait.
Here are some photos of things I have made!
This is my ALL about Miss Franco Book! This is how I will be introducing myself to my cuties!
My library book labels! I am adding pictures too, so they know what is in each bin!
Big dry erase board! I will use this for reminders and important papers.
Papers to be sent home basket!
Papers to be turned in basket!
Pom Pom erasers. The little ones I nanny for helped me test this out. ( one used to be in 1st grade and LOVED this idea!) I think they will last for a little while, then I may have to re-glue!
My writing rubric! I created this to show the student show important detail is! It demonstrates this through the story and the picture. :) It's about my sister Hannah.
My school section in my All About Miss Franco book!
My birthday balloons! They are glues to silly straws! I am in the process of adding Kool-aid with a ribbon!
The BEST part of me finding is JOB NOW is that I am ALREADY allowed in my classroom! Below are some pictures from it. It is a work in progress!

So that's what's been happening! I must say it is pretty good for only working a couple of hours a day. I have been working and answering phones at my mom's pre-school!
Alright time for me to do my project for the night
